Taking a break from cleaning out my bedroom after I found this great dress that I thought would look great on my daughter! She was up for playing in the rain so we were off to capture some fun in the rain!!!! Love her so very much!
Sorry for my lack of consistency with my blog! Hoping to be better!
Do I still have followers? I sit here on this cold fall day and wonder why I give up on myself so easily…
This picture was taken yesterday in my PJs kneeling down on the soaked driveway, with my camera wrapped in a lite plastic cover that you would use to cover fancy clothes. Because that is all I could find in a hurry! Trying to catch the rain drops as they landed and splashed up I just couldn’t quiet capture it. After several attempts I discovered that this one spoke to me the most. Or perhaps, like the title suggests I gave up…
Should you still have me in your sights I hope you enjoy the photo!
Getting up late has its advantages. Had to take the kids to school and on my way home I spotted this pretty scene. I still have yet to learn, to bring my camera everywhere. I had to run to the house and get it, not too far away though.
Another photo that I have been meaning to take for a while. I like these trees and the way they come together and frame the morning sun, with a rainbow to boot, my lucky day! Have a wonderful day everyone!
I was sitting at the computer enjoying some of your posts, when I heard quite a racket! I look out the window and on the power lines just outside the window… tons of birds!
I of course wanted to take a picture of them all. But, I opened the shade and away they went. I had my 50mm lens on the camera and the birds landed a bit farther away than I had hoped in the tree of a neighbor up the road.
So I had to zoom in and crop in Photoshop. To give you an idea of how many there were I took a photo of the tree without any birds. I missed out on them all huddled together in flight moving all at once this way and that before they landed. That is a pretty cool sight to see unless you have a fear of birds and then, well, that would suck! HAHA.
It looks like we might be getting a little snow Yay!!!!
Just one of the amazing views that the camera could not do justice! but it gives you a good idea of what it was like in person.
My best friend, her daughter and I hiked around Mt. Rainier last summer in 9 days on the 93 mile Wonderland Trail! It was so much fun! We had one meltdown day and the rest of the time it was a blast. It was so beautiful, we totally anticipated rain but the Lord was good to us and it only rained at night after we had the tent set up and had our dinner.
M, 1/60, F1.8, ISO 200, 50mm
There was so much to see, my friend loved all the mushrooms and had to take a picture of just about every one we came across. So yeah, I have a folder for just the Wonderland mushrooms. 🙂 We did see some pretty cool ones though.
I think this Screams “Caution do not eat me!”
Can’t wait to get back out there, The Northern Loop trail is next on the girls hiking list around Rainier.
Another clear and cold night, Moon time!!! I hope everyone tries to get pictures of the Moon and doesn’t give up! Early on in my photography I gave up so easy, Auto just doesn’t cut it. This Manual Mode is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. I have said this before but I just want others to know when you think it isn’t possible don’t give up!!! Seriously missed out on the Moon for years and now I am Moon crazy!
I was trying to get a nice clear shot of the crescent with the whole circle of the Moon showing but this was as close and as clean as I got. The more I look at it the more I like it!
Wow!!! They have improved over the years for sure! Living so close to a tourist town has its glorious moments and this is one of them.
After picking my girlie up from ballet. I parked the car and with tripod and camera in hand I went and snapped a few photos.
I liked having it set on Bulb and having a longer exposure time because it allowed people to walk through the photo without any trace of them being there! It was kind of cool! I kept telling people no worries keep moving, but I did appreciate the fact that so many wanted to be courteous and allow me the shot without them in it!
I hope your Christmas is filled with joyous, and glorious moments such as these! Merry Christmas to you all!
